I have lived along the Russian River since May 2008. Before that I painted the River area during times spent at my cabin in Guerneville while living and working in San Francisco. My palette is the greens of the redwoods, the golds of the vineyards and the blues of the river. I try to capture the beauty and elegance of the Northern California forests, the charming characteristics of the older cottages, the ever changing vineyards and life on the Russian River.
I studied art at San Francisco City College and have shown in cafes throughout the City. In Sonoma county I have participated in many group shows including the Watercolor Artists Of Sonoma County Aqua Areas 2003 exhibition, the Healdsburg Center for the arts Americana show in May 2008, As You Like It show in May 2009 and Locales for Locals in 2010. I have had two one-artist shows at Pedroncelli winery in Healdsburg, one in 2003 the other in 2007. In December of 2010 I participated in the Quercia Gallery Art Card exhibit. In January of 2011 I was the featured artist at Pedroncelli for the Winter Wineland event. My paintings, giclees and cards were carried by Vine Life from 2005 until closing in 2009 and by Nexus gallery from 2009 until closing in 2010. Both located in Guerneville. Currently my cards are carried by stores in Forestville, Guerneville, Monte Rio and Duncans Mills. Since January of 2011 a collection of recent watercolors are being featured at Cork’s restaurant at the Russian River Vineyards winery in Forestville. In April 2011 I became a member of the Russian River Art Gallery.
