Artist's statement: The North Bay Area, I am sure, is one of the most beautiful places on earth. The area has been blessed with near perfect weather for growing many kinds of crops from flowers, wine grapes and apples to all the natural vegetation that makes this area so beautiful. Visitors and residents can go in any direction, or turn any corner and find magnificent vistas from farmlands, orchards, family gardens, and majestic redwoods, the Russian River or Pacific Ocean. I find it the perfect place to paint.
As a child I spent many weekends sailing with my family. When you see a sailboat in one of my paintings, you know I am thinking about my family. I also place benches in many of my garden paintings to remind you to take a minute to sit, relax and take in God’s beauty.

Bio: Lynda Power received her education from San Francisco Junior College receiving an Associate of Arts degree with an emphasis on Advertising Arts. She then went on to receive a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts from San Jose University. Lynda took two years of Engineering, and eventually, worked for The City of Santa Rosa Utilities Engineering for 22 years.
Her art works have been shown and sold in many Juried Shows in Sonoma, Napa and Marin Counties.
