Karen Lockert's artistic journey began when she was a small child - yes, designing doll clothes, but mostly creating imaginery little towns, complete with little streets, little houses, and little people in her head. She thought she would grow up to be a full-time artist.
Karen graduated from California State University in Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Art degree where her emphasis was on ceramics and crafts. Much later, she took up painting and collage.
Now, Karen says, at last she's finally able to pursue her first love ~ art-making.
